Where the hell have I been?!

It is truly amazing and heart-warming to know I have frequently returning visitors from all over the world, sometimes in the thousands each day. I see you in Manila AND Burkina Faso! Hello!! So… I should really let y’all know what I’ve been up to whilst not posting on here… the intention being that you don’t forget about my blog and we carry on being internet friends. I’m a bit of an over-sharer too.

A few weeks ago I moved flat! I am now residing in the cute South West London neighborhood of Parsons Green, in a beautiful old mansion block. Think high ceilings, French blinds, roll top bath etc… Smug?? Me? Noooo way. I live with a delightful girlfriend who is a smart, kick-ass lawyer (which will inevitably come in handy as I’m always getting into trouble! – joking… ish) and a gym-honed, fitness nut. We are a match made in girly flatmate heaven, Nutribullet and everything. I’m her skincare dealer, she’s my fitspiration. It is SUCH a relief to no longer live with Xbox playing, grunting, stinky stinky boys. *BIG SIGH*.

Moving from SW1 to SW6 has required a tiny bit of adjusting as rather sadly, I can no longer walk to work, Uber taxis are actually NOT eight quid back from Soho, the Queen does not live a few mins up the road, and the Royal Mews Cavalry no longer wake me up every Saturday morning by trotting past my bedroom window en masse.*Sobs*. All of these things I made a point to really appreciate. However, I CAN skip to the Fulham Wine Rooms, Duke on the Green and Durrell Arms, also known collectively as some of the best pubs in London, usually full of Hooray Henry’s in red trousers with tripple-barrelled names, so no change there… but it is really lovely. Did I mention that I no longer live with stinky boys? I’m happy now.

There are so many things to tell you, and rather than monologue all my adventures from the past few weeks, instead, I will share all through the medium of pictures and attempt some funny captions.

Eating (lets start in priority order!)

Rather excitingly for all the local vegans and I – A brand new vegan (or as some of my delightful friends say “ve-GAG”) eatery called Tanya’s café has opened up in Parsons Green. For health reasons my poor friend Beth is a fellow awkward bastard when it comes to food she can eat, so we have had a lot of fun cooking things and visiting Tanya’s where if you are vegan, lacto-intolerant, celiac, veggie, gluten intolerant etc you can still order ANYTHING on the menu. It’s amazing. Following the success of Tanya’s Café in Chelsea, and its swarm of enthused celeb frequenters, this new one should be a massive hit. It literally opened DAYS after I moved here… from Chelsea. The Universe must have KNOWN I was moving, and needed a local Tanya’s. For that universe intervention reason alone, I am going to Tanya’s for breakfast with a brand on Friday and will be reporting back to you with pictures and a full detailed account of my gastronomic experience.

Bang Bang Canteen, a fantastic Vietnamese place near Warren Street. They serve amazing Bao rolls. I’m going back!

The Deliciously Ella Chickpea and Mushroom Stew with wild rice and hummus. Made by my own fair hand. I <3 Delciously Ella and would not be surprised if she is having a strong impact on sales of Mejool Dates.

Berners Tavern - Top service, really great food, but a little too ornate and formal for my tastes.

Catching up with my stunning gal pal Tia, who can't decide in this picture what she is more excited about... just having got engaged with a mahoosive sparkler (nice one Reg!), or the fist-bitingly good chocolate torte... #thirdpartyinstagram

Partying

Shortly after moving in, I had a little flatwarming party where we played Cards Against Humanity, drank Prosecco, tried to remove the security cap off a PURCHASED bottle of wine before forming a giant spoon at bed time. That’s all there is to tell really.

My gal pals Beth and Harriet dranking some Prosecco before all the silliness ensued.

This posted quite a man-challenge as neither representative from the armed forces nor strapping rugby player could defeat the Sainbury's security cap.

Miscellaneous stuff and outfits I’ve been loving

Who knew I could build furniture?! My mother almost passed out when she saw what a sterling job I did. IKEA clearly produce the instructions with spacktards* in mind, but I have such an illogical and lateral-thinking brain, I nearly cried when opening up the box full of screws and pieces of dreary wood. Life accomplishments – Building IKEA furniture > Law Degree.

*Spacktard – my word.

The American Apparel Afrika print dress in red. This is the second I have bought as I am NOW a SMALL – in this style of AA dress (which is around a size 8 everywhere else) *victory dance*.

Man on right is trying desperately to find page 3. Man on left is wondering if his "I live round hurr you know" outfit could possibly be even more douchier... More tweed next time, and maybe a feather in hat.

So that’s that! I hope you feel thoroughly informed on what I’ve been doing. So sorry for blog abandonment whilst moving etc. Posts coming soon on LFW, T3 hair magic newness, Delilah Cosmetics aka THE makeup brand of 2015 and the Lancer Method which is J.Lo’s skincare routine. I’m nice like that. If that doesn’t excite you then you are reading the wrong blog. Ciao! x
